Device 0 cannot run this title. There is no video graphic card supported - check your system hardware?

When recently trying to open The Sims 3: Nightlife, I was greeted with this system message saying, "Device 0 cannot run this title. There is no video graphic card supported - check your system hardware"

I have played this game before on the laptop I'm using, encountering no problems at all - only after a recent update. What is a video graphic card? How do I get one? Please explain?|||Look in your 'Device Manager' and see if there is a yellow mark against your Display Adaptor in the list.

If there is then it means that it's not properly installed or maybe the driver has become corrupted.

Uninstall it by right-clicking on it.

Restart your computer.

The drivers will reinstall themselves afresh as the computer restarts.

p.s. The above instructions can be applied to most of the things in Device Manager which were installed by the Operating System, so if you see any other items which are yellow flagged then give it a try.

It may not work if it's an item you've installed yourself using an installation CD. In that case you might have to reinstall using that CD.

p.p.s. If you don't know where the Device Manager is then type it into the search box in Start > Help & Support.

I forgot to mention that you may need to be running as an Administrator to change Device Manager items.|||What was this "update" you're talking about? What laptop do you have? And what version of Windows are you running?
