How do i check what video card i have?

I got a game ive installed it but when i click on it, it says to check if i got directx 9, and i do and also to check the video card requirments which i dont know. ive got windows xp, please help.|||simple go to your control panel then look for display then go to settings

underneath that go to advanced than choose adapter it will show you what video card you have and how much memoy it has.

hope that helps.|||hi tufayel

allthough theres a few methods within windows to discover which video/graphic card you have these are pretty basic and have limited information

however theres a application called "gpu-z" avalible at http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/,which allows you to access advanced information regarding your graphic card

to use gpu-z theres no need to install it,simply run the downloaded file and a small box will appear with all the information you require regarding your video card

this includes core and memory clock speeds,direct x version,pixel and shader model,memory bandwidth,memory bus interface,and also the bus interface(pci-express or agp)

gpu-z can give you all the information you will ever need regarding your graphic card and by right clicking the downloaded file and sending to the desktop will allow you to have gpu-z on your desktop permanently

any problems let me know

good luck tufayel !|||u can do this:::
